Write about an experience when someone assumed something about you because of a stereotype. What was the situation, and what did you do?

Prompt: A time i experienced a stereotype was in elementary school, when my dad had came to pick me up instead of my mom like usual. The lady in the front desk asked if he was my uncle before asking if he was my father, and seemed shocked for a split second when he stated his relationship to me before regrouping and being professional. It was short but as I got older i realized why she was surprised, the assumption that i wouldn’t have a father

summary: worked on stereotype worksheet

reflection: learned the harmful affects of stereotypes on different demographics
