Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).

prompt: For me the most difficult prompt for figurative language was the "Negative labels" part. It was hard to think of things that people have said about me since I haven't really ever been directly told something negative. As well as that, it's harder to turn something negative into a metaphor that makes sense. It might be easier for someone creative but it's not easy for me to think of things without planning it out and such. I thought in a broader scheme of things to make it easier.

summary: Worked on poster for 12 figurative language sentence

reflection: learned how to turn similes and metaphors into a graphic

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?

Blake uses the chimney sweepers to expose how society ignores suffering. Reflect on a time when you noticed someone being treated unfairly or saw a situation that didn’t seem right. How does this experience connect to the emotions or ideas expressed in one or both poems?
