Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

prompt: A time I didn't feel like myself was when I had first moved to Georgia and was enrolled in a new school. Obviously the environment was different as far as weather and such, but it felt like such a drastic change. The people were different, accents, learning curriculum, everything was different to the point where I felt like an outcast. This made me turn in a shy person, as before I moved I was more open. Though as the years have gone by since then I feel more grounded and like myself.

summary: read a bit of chapter 5 and applied the themes in that portion to MLK principles with a group.

reflection: practiced how to apply context of a story to an outside theme or principle using details and evidence.

Blake uses the chimney sweepers to expose how society ignores suffering. Reflect on a time when you noticed someone being treated unfairly or saw a situation that didn’t seem right. How does this experience connect to the emotions or ideas expressed in one or both poems?
