Describe a hike, long walk, or outdoor experience you have had and explain what it was like physically and mentally. If you have never been on a hike, describe a time when you were outside your comfort zone or had to rely on yourself in a challenging situation. Explain what you learned from the experience.

prompt: A time i have been on a hike was during peak times of quarantine, when my family decided to climb stone mountain. Considering this was a time when I was spending a lot of time indoors, I was definitely physically exerted. It was sweaty and tiring going up, but once I reached the top I felt a huge sense of accomplishment. It was unlike anything i’d ever done before physically, and being able to rest and take in the view after all that work was mentally rewarding.

I definitely learned to not give up on hard paths. Many time I asked my mom if I could go back down halfway through the climb, but i’m glad i didn’t because the accomplishment feeling was worth it.

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?

Blake uses the chimney sweepers to expose how society ignores suffering. Reflect on a time when you noticed someone being treated unfairly or saw a situation that didn’t seem right. How does this experience connect to the emotions or ideas expressed in one or both poems?
